Matthew Roman is the Director of Government Relations for Stash Ventures, LLC. This role includes government relations, in-house legal and strategic real estate acquisitions. He is based out of our headquarters in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. He started with Stash Ventures in November 2021.

Matthew attended the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor where he graduated with a Bachelor’s in General Studies, with Distinction. He went on to receive his JD/MBA from the College of William and Mary.

Prior to joining our company, Matthew has spent 6 years in the Cannabis industry. He started out practicing law at a firm in Royal Oak, MI, becoming the practice group leader. After that, he worked inhouse for a cannabis company where he was the Executive VP and General Counsel. He also served as the inaugural editor-in-chief of the State Bar of Michigan’s Cannabis Law Section Journal.

When he’s not working, he enjoys flying planes, watch collecting, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and spending time with his three pit bulls.
